FRIENDS of the DUNLOP ART GALLERY
FRIENDS of the DUNLOP ART GALLERY
In November 2003, the Regina Public Library announced its intention to close the Dunlop Art Gallery, along with three inner city branch libraries and the Prairie History Room. After months of public debate, the RPL decided to continue these key services until the end of 2004. The Dunlop continues to operate and function as an integral part of Regina’s cultural scene and the world of contemporary Canadian art. The Friends of the Dunlop Art Gallery, a coalition of cultural workers, arts advocates and art patrons, is dedicated to ensuring the long-term stability and vitality of the Dunlop. This site has been created to heighten awareness of the Dunlop's situation, and to let people know how they can help.
